| Another great honor has been given to the memory of
Robyn. The City of Oldsmar, Florida, Robyn's beloved hometown, and
the Oldsmar Little League, 900 strong, dedicated the cities new
$2,500,000 nine-baseball field complex as the "ROBYN BEVERLAND
BASEBALL COMPLEX AT CANAL PARK" on March 9th, 2002. The
generosity of the City of Oldsmar and the Little League was over
whelming to Robyn's family.
Robyn continues to inspire young girls and boys as they read about
his life from the storyboard that is at the entrance to the ball
fields. Hundreds of people, both young and old, walk away with
tears in their eyes, having a better understanding of why they should
never quit, why they should never give up.
Robyn played Little League for four years. He never hit the
ball because he was almost blind, but he always took his turn at bat
because he was not a quitter and always at least tried.
As long as the ROBYN BEVERLAND BASEBALL COMPLEX AT
CANAL PARK" exists, Robyn will continue to help and inspire
hundreds and maybe thousands of young kids get through life a little
easier because of how Robyn lived throughout his short life.
